Academics
The education of young women should be holistic,
encouraging the development of mind, body, and spirit. Consequently,
students of The Catholic High School of Baltimore benefit from
a solid academic curriculum that is strongly rooted in
Catholic and Franciscan values. Being a community of life-long learners, we challenge students
to pursue academic excellence and to develop habits of learning
that will prepare them for post-secondary education. Catholic
High uses all available resources to help students obtain,
critically assess, and assimilate new knowledge, and develop
new skills.
We expect each Catholic High student to become: articulate
in speech and writing; adept in the use and/or understanding
of science and technology; able to understand human culture
through a study of humanities and the arts; and adept in those
academic and social skills that promote team building and
problem solving. Upon graduation, our students possess the knowledge and the experience to succeed in higher education and beyond.

Through small class sizes and frequent student-teacher interaction, close cooperation between home and school, and the student's commitment to success, the successful Archangel student will begin the College Preparatory Program in her junior year.
The Catholic High School of Baltimore challenges its students to direct their creative energies into real, achievable goals and to realize that acquiring knowledge is a lifetime task. Young women of Catholic High delight in learning new things and accept with an open optimism the many changes of our complex world.
Above all, we invite each student to explore her own talents
and joyfully acknowledge that she is beloved by God. For more information about Catholic High's
