How to Apply
We are so excited that you're interested in Catholic High! We accept students who are excited to live out our Franciscan mission of academic excellence, responsible leadership, and Christian community service. Our diverse school community affords our students exposure and understanding of cultural uniqueness.
We have provided you with a few detailed steps to make the high school application process easier for you and your family. Catholic High can't wait to review your application!
- Attend a Shadow Day – We welcome all 8th grade and high school transfer students on most school days from September through early December. Applicants are required to attend a Shadow Day to be considered for acceptance. Registration for 2026 shadow days will open soon!
- RSVP for Open House – Catholic High invites you to Open House on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tour our beautiful campus, historic building, and speak with faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumnae. Learn how a Catholic High education transforms young women into responsible, reverent, empowered leaders.
- Apply Online – Students must apply online for admission to the school. For best consideration of admission, applications should be submitted by December 11, 2026. Please note that there is a $50 non-refundable application fee.
Submit your Catholic High Application! - Complete Additional Forms – Public school families need to complete a Records Release Form to hand into their grade school giving them permission to release academic records to Catholic High. The Archdiocese of Baltimore Referral Form should be completed by at least 2 core subject teachers and sent directly to the Catholic High Admissions Office. Please note: If a student attends an Archdiocese of Baltimore elementary/middle school, these forms are provided for you. Public School families can access these forms here.
- Tuition Assistance Application (Optional) –Catholic High offers tuition assistance, which is need-based and must be applied for each year through FACTS. Families may apply beginning in early November by visiting factstuitionaid.com.

- McCafferty Visual & Performing Arts (Vocal Music, Theatre, Visual Art, Instrumental Music, and Dance Courses)
- STEM Program (Engineering, Biomedicine, & Sports Medicine Courses)
- Archangel Program
- Take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) – This test is a required component of your admission portfolio. Catholic High will offer the HSPT for public school students on November 14, 2026. Catholic school students will take it at their grade school on. Registration for the 2026 High School Placement Test will open in the fall.
- Consider our Scholarships – The Catholic High School of Baltimore offers a number of academic scholarships to qualified students entering the ninth grade. Scholarships are renewed annually, as long as the scholar maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Catholic High also offers scholarships for our Visual and Performing Arts Program in Vocal Music, Theatre, Instrumental Music, Visual Art, and Dance. A $2,000 scholarship is awarded to two incoming freshman in each concentration. Scholarship auditions for VPA will take place in January. Students who qualify for an Academic Scholarship will also be contacted in January for an additional interview.
- Decision Letters & Emails – It’s the day you have been waiting for – Decision Day! All students who have a completed a Catholic High application will receive a decision letter. Letters for the Class of 2031 will be mailed on February 17, 2026 and email notifications will be sent on February 18, 2026.
