Eighth grade students and transfer students are encouraged to spend a day at Catholic High. Students are matched with a ninth grade Ambassador, based on academic interests. Students will participate in an excellent academic program and experience the warm, friendly environment. Shadow Days are scheduled when school is in full session. Please call the Office of Admissions at 410.732.6200 ext. 213 to schedule an appointment.

After the Shadow Day, complete the following procedures. All application materials are due January 9, 2009.

  1. Complete and submit Catholic High’s Application for Admission.
    Include the $40 non-refundable application fee. Download the application here.

  2. Authorize the applicant’s current school records to be released to Catholic High.
    For Catholic school students, complete the Archdiocesan of Baltimore Information Release Form available from the applicant’s current school. For all other applicants, including transfer students, complete Catholic High’s Record Release Form and return it to the applicant’s current school. Click here to download the record release form. The applicant's current school will forward the completed release form along with copies of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade report cards and standardized testing results to Catholic High.

  3. Take the High School Placement Test.
    The High School Placement Test (HSPT) will be administered at Catholic High on Saturday, December 13, 2008. The test fee is $30 and must be paid in cash at the time of registration; no checks will be accepted. Transfer students do not need to take the HSPT. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have not taken the HSPT.

  4. Apply for a scholarship. (Optional)
    All students who wish to be considered for scholarships must complete the Scholarship Application. Students from non-Catholic middle schools must complete the Scholarship Application and the Scholarship Recommendation form.   5. Apply for financial aid. (Optional)
    Financial aid is need-based and must be applied for each year. Applications are available from the Business Office; call 410.732.6200 ext. 226. Families can also apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com. The application is due to FACTS by January 9, 2009.

After all application materials are received, the applicant will be contacted for an interview. Applicants who are interviewed on their Shadow Day need not schedule an additional interview. Decision letters will be mailed February 17, 2009, and accepted students will register March 12, 2009.
