Admissions > Admission Procedures
All admissions materials (including financial aid applications) are due on Friday, January 8, 2010. Applications cannot be processed unless all of the following information is received.
- Application for Admission.
Include the $40 non-refundable application fee. Download the application here.
- Record Release.
For students currently attending Catholic schools, the Catholic school completes the Archdiocesan of Baltimore Information Release Form and forwards all records to Catholic High. Non-Catholic Schools need to complete the record release form and forward it to the principal of their child’s current school. Click here to download the record release form. The applicant’s current school forwards the completed release form along with copies of 6th, 7th and 8th grade report cards and standardized testing results to Catholic High.
- High School Placement Test.
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is administered at Catholic High on Saturday, December 5, 2009. However, the HSPT is also administered at various Catholic high schools on Saturday, December 5, 2009 and Saturday, December 12, 2009. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the cost of the test is $30 to be paid in cash only. The test begins at 9:00 a.m. and there is no late admittance. It is suggested that you take the test at your first choice school; however, it is not a requirement. Below are the HSPT dates and locations.

- Scholarship Application (Optional).
All students who wish to be considered for scholarships must complete the scholarship application. Applicants from non-Catholic middle schools need to also submit the scholarship recommendation form. The Archdiocesan Information Form serves as the scholarship recommendation for applicants currently attending Catholic middle schools. Students eligible for the Math Olympiad Scholarship must also complete the scholarship application.
- Financial Aid (Optional).
Financial aid is need-based and must be applied for each year. Applications are available from the Business Office; call 410.732.6200 ext. 226. Families may also apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com. The application is due to FACTS by January 8, 2010.
- International Students.
In addition to the application guidelines above, international students wishing to apply to Catholic High must submit proof of English language proficiency and a 500 word, typed essay. The essay should consist of reasons the applicant wishes to attend Catholic High and include any applicable experiences that the applicant wishes to share. International students are also responsible for their own housing and must submit an Affidavit of Support (Form I-134). Please click here to download Form I-134.
After all application materials are received, the applicant is contacted for an interview (except in the case of international students where ane ssay is submitted in lieu of a personal interview). Applicants who are interviewed on their Shadow Day need not schedule an additional interview. Decision letters will be mailed on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
