Class Ambassador Program

Class Ambassador Program

Mission
The Catholic High School of Baltimore works steadily to build connections with its alumnae. Whether it’s with the summer Highlighter, the fall and winter Highlighter Newsletter, the Alumnae Weekly Update, event postcards or Annual Fund letters, alumnae receive a lot of information from Catholic High. However, as good as this communication may be, it can’t replace the personal touch of a fellow class member when writing a letter, building interest in the next school event or encouraging classmates to volunteer. It is the personal nature of class ambassadors that makes them a powerful source. The mission of the Class Ambassador Program at The Catholic High School of Baltimore is to keep the alumnae in personal contact with the school, to increase alumnae understanding of the current mission and values of Catholic High, and to gain alumnae support and participation.

What is the Role of a Class Ambassador?
Class ambassadors act as a liaison between the staff and their classmates. They are communicators and motivators for their classmates to become involved in activities and events at the school.

Term of Service
There is no particular term of service for a class ambassador.

Selection
Class ambassadors are volunteers who give their time and talent to keep their fellow classmates in touch with Catholic High.

Class Ambassador Responsibilities

  • Send news on classmates to the Alumnae Relations Office for publication in newsletters and update.
  • Cross-reference class list contact information with the Alumnae Relations Office to help keep school database up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with Alumnae Relations Office in gathering your class to the aid of any classmates in need.
  • Informing classmates on current issues at Catholic High and providing feedback to the school.
  • Contact classmates to help publicize upcoming alumnae events.
  • Make a gift to The Catholic High School of Baltimore each year. Leadership by example is vital, and greatly appreciated. It is not about the size of the gift, but it is the participation that is most important.
