Miss Catholic High & Students of the Year

Miss Catholic High and Students of the Year are honored at the end of the school year during the Miss Catholic High Assembly.
Nominees for Miss Catholic High exhibit academic excellence, responsible leadership, and Christian community service consistently over their four years at Catholic High. Each month during the school year, a Student of the Month is chosen from each class. This person demonstrates exemplary leadership qualities and actively takes part in school events.
Miss Catholic High has been a time-honored tradition upheld by the faculty, administration, and students. The senior honored as Miss Catholic High crowns the Blessed Mother during the May Procession.
Criteria for Miss Catholic High and Students of the Year
All Students of the Month are eligible for Students of the Year and Miss Catholic High if they continue to keep the following criteria:
- Average grade of 80 or above
- No major detentions
- No more than three minor detentions
- Good attendance rate
- Participation in school activities
- Completed application
- Interview
The Interview Committee is comprised of class advisors, two faculty members appointed by the Principal, President of the Student Council, Vice-President of the Student Council, and Class Executive.
Criteria for Student of the Month
- Average grade of 80 or above
- No major detentions
- No current detentions
- No more than two minor detentions all year
- Demonstration of school spirit
- Demonstration of respect and courteous behavior at all times
- Active participation in two or more club activities
- Fewer than 4 days absent in current month
- Fewer than 3 days tardy in current month
- Student Council Officers and Executives are not eligible.
Procedure for Student of the Month
- On the designated day, Student Council reps will ask for nominations from each homeroom
- Class advisors, specified faculty, and class executives will select a Student of the Month from the Nominees who meet the criteria.
