Every year during Alumnae Homecoming Weekend, we honor 5 alumnae for their achievements during the Alumnae Awards Ceremony. The five award categories are:

Athletic Hall of Fame

Alumnae Spotlight

November 2019 - Cassandra "Casey" Kopasek '15

This month's Alumna Spotlight focuses on Cassandra "Casey" Kopasek '15, who was awarded the Recent Distinguished Alumna Award at the Alumnae Awards Ceremony on October 4. She was recognized for her achievements as a recent alumna in her academic, personal, and spiritual life.

Casey is currently a senior at Stevenson University studying Early Childhood Education. While at Catholic High, she was a member of the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, A Capella Choir, Tri-M, and National Honors Society. She also performed in various musicals and was an in intern in the office of Institutional Advancement for three summers. After graduating from Catholic High in 2015, she attended the Community College of Baltimore County where she received her Associate of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. Her volunteer experience includes working with children with special needs at CCBC’s Children’s Developmental Camp, working one-on-one with a child with special needs at St. Michael the Archangel’s Sunday School, St. Michael’s after-care program, and an internship at Perry Hall Elementary School’s fourth grade classroom.

Since transferring to Stevenson University in the spring of 2017, Casey has become a member of Teachers of Tomorrow, the Historian of Kappa Delta Pi, an educational honors society, and has interned at Pot Spring Elementary School’s kindergarten classroom. She is now completing her senior internship at Sparks Elementary in the third grade classroom while working at the Goddard School in White Marsh as an Assistant Teacher. She remains actively involved at Catholic High as a member of the Alumnae Association executive board and plays the Cub at the Cub 5K run and other alumnae events.
